Once upon a time, there was this fairytale guide to Alice in Wonderland Costumes..

A newer 4th edition was subsequently also published, dated 1889.
The copyright expiration in 1907 of the original work gave publishers the opportunity to creatively evolve the Alice in Wonderland tale and take the child’s adventures to the new horizons we experience today.
20th Century animated adaptations of the Alice in Wonderland story were popularised by the master himself Walt Disney, and it is these spectacular visuals which captivated audiences for over four decades and continue to do so right through to the modern day Tim Burton sequential reproduction in 2010.
Although for illustrative purposes the colours and patterns depicted in Alice’s wardrobe may have changed, the cute puff sleeved dress with a pinafore style apron seems to have remained somewhat constant.
